Terms of service

Terms of Service

Effective date: 17 October 2026

Welcome to ticketHUB ZM (“the Platform”), operated by Optimyze Technologies Limited (“ticketHUB”, “we”, “us”). By using the Platform to browse, buy, sell or scan tickets, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

  • Buyer: anyone who buys a ticket, with or without an account (guest checkout).
  • Organizer: a person or business that lists an event and sells tickets on the Platform.
  • Point of sale (POS): a seller account created by an Organizer to sell tickets in person.
  • Scanner: an account used at the gate to check tickets.
  • Booking fee: an optional fee a Buyer pays to ticketHUB on top of the ticket price, when it is switched on for the event.
  • Commission: the fee an Organizer pays to ticketHUB, deducted from the Organizer’s payout.

2. Using the Platform

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • You must give accurate information, including a working mobile money number for payments.
  • Organizers are responsible for their event: its details, date and time, venue, ticket prices, entry rules and any refunds they offer.
  • Organizers must keep their account, POS and Scanner logins private and are responsible for everything done with them.

3. Buying tickets

  • Online payments are made by mobile money (MTN, Airtel or Zamtel) through our payment partner pawaPay. You approve the payment on your phone with your mobile money PIN. ticketHUB never asks for or stores your PIN.
  • You can buy as a guest with your name and phone number (email optional), or with a ticketHUB account.
  • Once payment is confirmed, your tickets can be downloaded immediately and are sent by email if you gave an email address. Guests can find their tickets again on the Find my tickets page using their phone number and order details.
  • The price you pay, including the booking fee, is shown before you confirm payment.
  • Tickets bought at a point of sale are paid directly to the Organizer’s seller.

4. Tickets and entry

  • Each ticket has a unique QR code and is valid for one entry. Once scanned, the same ticket (or a copy of it) will be refused.
  • Keep your ticket private. Do not share or post your QR code. ticketHUB is not responsible if a copy of your ticket is used before you arrive.
  • Reselling or duplicating tickets without the Organizer’s permission is not allowed and may lead to the ticket being cancelled.
  • Organizers and venues may set their own entry rules (age limits, security checks, bag rules).

5. Fees

Fees are set for each event by the ticketHUB admin, as agreed with the Organizer before sales start:

  • Commission (paid by the Organizer): agreed with the ticketHUB admin, either a percentage of the ticket price (for example 3%) or a fixed amount per ticket (for example ZMW 5). It is deducted from the Organizer’s payout and shown on the Organizer’s dashboard.
  • Booking fee (paid by the Buyer): optional. When it is switched on for an event, ZMW 5 is added to each paid ticket bought online and shown to the Buyer before payment.
  • Free tickets carry no fees. Point-of-sale tickets carry no booking fee; commission applies to them only where agreed with the ticketHUB admin.
  • Full details and examples are on our Pricing and fees page.

6. Payouts to Organizers

  • Money paid online is collected by ticketHUB through pawaPay and held until it is paid out to the Organizer.
  • Organizers request a payout for each event date from their dashboard, to their registered mobile money number or bank account. Ticket sales for that date pause while the request is open.
  • The payout is the online ticket sales, less the agreed commission (including on point-of-sale tickets where agreed). Money collected at points of sale is already with the Organizer and is not paid out again.
  • We aim to pay within 7 working days of the request. Large payouts may take longer, because mobile money settlement through pawaPay can take a week or more. We will tell the Organizer if a payout is delayed.
  • If the commission owed is more than the online sales, the Organizer must settle the difference with ticketHUB.
  • We may hold a payout if there is a dispute, suspected fraud, a cancelled event, or refunds still to be made.

7. Cancellations and refunds

If an event is cancelled, postponed or changed, the Organizer is responsible for refunds. ticketHUB will help process refunds for online sales where funds are still held. See our Privacy and Refund Policy for details.

8. Your conduct

  • Do not use the Platform for fraud, false events, or anything illegal.
  • Do not try to break, copy or overload the Platform or its ticket and scanning systems.
  • We may suspend or close accounts, cancel tickets or remove events that break these Terms.

9. Liability

  • ticketHUB provides the ticketing service. We are not the organizer of the events and are not responsible for event quality, changes, safety at the venue, or disputes between Buyers and Organizers.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by mobile networks, pawaPay, power or internet outages, or other events beyond our control.
  • Where the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees ticketHUB received for the tickets concerned.

10. Intellectual property

The Platform, its design, logos and software belong to ticketHUB or its licensors. Organizers keep ownership of their event content and allow us to display it to sell their tickets.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Platform means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. We will first try to resolve any dispute with you directly; if that fails, it may be taken to the courts of Zambia.
